La Quinta has a fantastic golf course at SilverRock Resort that offers 18 holes of golf. Within this course, you will be right amidst the gorgeous setting of the majestic Santa Rosa Mountains just at the base. The course is open to the public at any time and easily surpasses any public course you will ever play. At the time being, the 525-acre piece of land is constantly growing and developing with many plans for the future including a boutique hotel, resort hotel and a black box theater.

Staying with the magnificent weather that La Quinta has to offer, you will find a plethora of different trails and parks to enjoy 24/7. A couple of trails you will want to hike at some point are Bear Creek Trail and Cove Oasis. Bear Creek trail is a 4.75 acre hike that starts on the corner of Eisenhower and Calle Tampico and heads south to the Fred Wolff Nature Preserve. As for Cove Oasis Trailhead, this is a 114 acre natural open space located at the southernmost part of the cove. This is a trail that is open for parties with a number of different amenities to take advantage of including picnic tables, benches, hiking trails and public art.

To have some fun in the sun inside the water there is the Fritz Burns pool. This is a community pool that offers swim lessons aerobics classes, and family fun nights. If you are looking to take an aerobics class or enter your child in swimming lessons, it is important you register early to designate your spot in the class.

The city of La Quinta is rich in history and has a unique character. It has displayed a great deal of art throughout the city in public places that people can and should check out. Art has had a strong role in the creation of the city’s character and what it stands for. There is an Art in Public Places program that truly enhances the city’s social and environmental growth.

Throughout the city you will find gorgeous sculptures and murals of all kinds. Some of the sculptures you can look at include Solitude 1, La Quinta Mountain Ranges, Fish Trap with Bear and Arches. As for murals that are spread throughout the city, some to take note of include Blackhawks, Dances with the Landscapes, and the La Quinta Museum Mural.

There are some terrific designer stores where you can find everything imaginable to fill up your closet with high brand products and brand names. And if you love scenery and breathtaking views, there is no better place to go than La Quinta. You can capture magnificent views of the Santa Rosa Mountains and Mount San Jacinto.

Fine dining is nothing but the norm with a wide variety of options to choose from. You can find a little bit of every flavor to satisfy your taste buds. Even the pickiest of eaters will leave happy and filled with terrific cuisines.

If you are just visiting the gorgeous city, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Obviously, it is golfing that attracts many visitors with the public course within and over 120 golf courses filling Palm Springs alone. Dining and shopping is also extremely popular for visitors in the Village area or along the Highway 111 commercial corridor. And if you are an outdoorsy type of person, there are more than enough activities to choose from.
