The courses in the community have been enjoyed by the likes of Bob Hope and President Gerald Ford and continue to be a favorite for resident celebrities and visitors. The various courses are challenging for the most experienced as well as enjoyable and satisfying for the casual golfer. There is a little something for all levels to have fun with. A couple of the courses you can try out include Mission Hills North and the Rancho Mirage Country Club. Mission Hills North is home to the famed Gary Player Signature Course. The 7,062 yard par72 course has gained a great deal of notability in Golf Magazine over the years. The country club offers guests the feel of a private club with a spacious club house, PGA Professional Shop and an 18 hole course with spectacular views of the San Jacinto Mountains.

Outside of golf, you will find that Rancho Mirage is one of the West’s greatest hiking and cycling destinations in the West. There are tremendous trails and parks for you to take up the fine mountains nearby. You can pick and choose from trails that do notify hikers of the difficulty level. For a light and enjoyable hike or bike ride you can head up the Butler-Abrams Trail. This is an asphalt trail that is parallel to the Whitewater Wash. There are fabulous mountain views and sites of a golf course. For a more difficult hike you can give Bighorn Overlook Trail a try. This trail is ¼ mile in length and has several switchbacks. There is an amazing panoramic view at the top waiting for your arrival.

If you are not so much into the outdoorsy activity, there is amazing art to look at. There are a number of art galleries including the most notable one of all, Imago Galleries. This rests in a magnificent streamlined building that is surrounded by sculpture gardens. This gallery in particular specializes in contemporary fine art by internationally recognized artists. Some other art galleries to take a look at include Dezart One Gallery and the Palm Springs Art Museum.

If you enjoy theater and plays you will have to take a trip to the Annenbert Theater for noteworthy programs. The McCallum Theatre is also worth taking a look at with major performing arts programs taking place. This is a state-of-the-art theatre that has gained a highly reputable image.

Whether you are on vacation or simply need some pampering, there are several spas to kick back and relax. You can enjoy everything from facial treatment to a full-body treatment depending on what you are looking for. A few of the spas you can take a look into include the Spa at the Westin Mission Hills Resort and Spa, Spa Las Palmas, and Yamaguchi Salon.

Finally, a city would not be completed without fine dining. There are several high-class restaurants along with simple dining options as well. There is a wide variety of options to choose from including American, Chinese, Continental, Greek, Italian, Mexican and much more. Whatever your taste is there is something to satisfy your desire.
